Currently our youngest client has been a 7 year old and eldest being 73 years young! SUP entry level lessons always begin in flat water locations to assist clients in successfully grasping the basic skills of the activity. The best thing about group based SUP lessons is that you learn in a social environment with like minded people, therefore you not only develop the skills necessary but you may walk away with some new found friends that you can share your experience with. Clients will develop proficiency and knowledge in how to effectively carry a board/paddle, enter water safely, stand and fall safely (Clients don't have to get wet if they choose not to), paddling techniques, stroke types, stance options, turning and board control. Participants will also gain knowledge relating to the equipment including; board and paddle types, etiquette and safety, tide and wind effects on paddle boarding. After developing basic techniques participants will be given ample time to refine their skills during a tour around Forsters Bay in the Wagonga Inlet. This is when they will really appreciate the beauty and marvel of the activity, gaining a unique view of the plethora of marine life including the BIG Black Rays, schools of baitfish and many other fish species, you may even get lucky and get up close and personal with our resident seal. The Inlet is also home to an array of bird Life evident within the System.
